This comes from OpenEmbedded (Yocto) with the usrmerge distro feature.
It is the distro default, not a test or isolation setup.

With usrmerge /lib is a symlink to usr/lib. The gcc recipe carries a
patch that takes the musl dynamic linker path from the system library
directory, /usr/lib there, so gcc writes /usr/lib/ld-musl-$ARCH.so.1
into PT_INTERP.

Understood. Other musl distros keep /lib/ld-musl-$ARCH.so.1 in
PT_INTERP even with a merged /usr. Please consider this patch
withdrawn.

Thanks for the explanation.
