Subject: Source of (was: Debian Bug#473458)

----- Forwarded message from Justin Pryzby <> -----

The manpage seems to be introduced (not patched) by Debian's
diff. Where does the page used by the rest of the world come
from? Does redhat or someone else maintain another page (separate
from both glibc upstream and Debian).

----- End forwarded message -----

Where do other distributions take from? Do they use the
version provided by Michael via the man-pages package? Or do they
use a local version accompanied by the source code?

Never trust an operating system you don't have source for!
