OK, but ours is very different from 2.6.18.  It does not really
correspond to a specific mainline kernel version.  For example, it has
ext4fs, which Owl uses by default, whereas mainline 2.6.18 does not.
That's just one of a very large number of backports and enhancements by
Red Hat.

That said, I am fine with us not updating the network startup scripts in
a major way until we've moved to RHEL6'ish kernels.
