And with the latest patches for locales and radix char, the project has basically come to a conclussion on the musl side. However, in addition to the work in musl, it is important to mention that two new repositories have been created for continuing supporting locales long-term: * https://codeberg.org/musl/musl-locales now holds all the locales created for this project, translated into the new format. Rich gave access to Achill (Alpine developer), and me (Nura member) access, so the locales are now in a more "endorsed" location. Anybody involved in the previous musl-locales iteration that want to get access to continue contributing, please just let us know! Given that the new musl patches will now reject locales that musl does not know of, locales are now more important than ever. Please send us patches with your language! * https://codeberg.org/dalias/musl-locale-tools-draft which Rich has spoken of before, contains all the tooling needed to generate and parse locales, and is used by musl-locales. IIUC, the expectation is that those will move to https://codeberg.org/musl/musl-localedef on its due time, to also give them a more official location. Finally, the integration of the musl patchsets, and the new locales and tooling is available for testing in Alpine and Nura in https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/merge_requests/109452 It would be wonderful if others with interest in locales would want to try similar integration, and see if there's anything that was missed, or other potential improvements. On my side, I've been running that build for a few weeks, so I can speak of the stability of the patches. Best, Pablo Correa Gomez
