Subject: Brute force machine - any advice?
Hi,
Iam thinking to build a dedicated password cracker, I guess many people have done it...
Now what to go for? What a workstation I normally prefer an intel cpu, but are AMDs better? (Bang for the bucks)
-> OpenCL I guess AMD is cheaper and faster than Nvidia.
-> PSU -> Best to go for 2x needed power
So only open issue is which CPU and why - what about xeon vs i7? Rather buy 2 i7s or one beefy xeon?
