All of this is subject to change, especially before we release the next jumbo. I've verified that the "user1:$pbkdf2-hmac-sha512$..." line above gets loaded by current unstable-jumbo: Loaded 1 password hash (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512 GRUB2 / OS X 10.8 [32/32 OpenSSL]) That's on an emulated 32-bit SPARC system I am playing with at the moment. ;-) You'll probably see 64/64 there.
