Subject: Problems with Netscape LDAP SSHA [salted SHA1]
Hi,
i am using John from http://btb.banquise.net/bin/myjohn.tgz and using
passwords dumped from openldap.
No the problem:
some passwords were loaded but john did not start. there is no log entry
at all.
2 samples where passwords were loaded but no computation starts:
datkommadr:{SSHA}f4VgVNep4cz7Vy1BgPbmelC/N6+rYdWw7WGuLA==
dabob:{SSHA}sa0QU3f7p7CPpMSA3st/N9Hjjlq1in7MiIbAWw==
the commandline shows:
me@...orithmix:~/john/run$ ./john --session=ldap ldap
Loaded 2 password hashes with 2 different salts (Netscape LDAP SSHA
[salted SHA1])
me@...orithmix:~/john/run$
i have tried these passwords on different computers with the same
result. could someone reproduce this?
