I've just tried the code currently in magnum-jumbo (appears to include
your later +5% patch).

CPU speed (FX-8120 o/c), for reference:

Benchmarking: M$ Cache Hash 2 (DCC2) [SSE2i 8x]... (8xOMP) DONE
Raw: 3485 c/s real, 436 c/s virtual

GTX 570 1600 MHz, unmodified code and settings:

Benchmarking: mscash2-cuda [GPU]... DONE
Raw: 13653 c/s real, 13653 c/s virtual

sm_20:

Benchmarking: mscash2-cuda [GPU]... DONE
Raw: 14529 c/s real, 14400 c/s virtual

Also THREADS 480:

Benchmarking: mscash2-cuda [GPU]... DONE
Raw: 28000 c/s real, 28000 c/s virtual

Also BLOCKS 28:

Benchmarking: mscash2-cuda [GPU]... DONE
Raw: 28000 c/s real, 28000 c/s virtual

(yes, same speed).

That's 86.7% of the published hashcat speed. We're getting close. :-)

Thanks,

Alexander
