As the list evolves, we generally end up switching it to hold all messages for pre-moderation, except from whitelisted senders. Prompted by today's off-topic message, I've just made this change for lkrg-users, and will start whitelisting senders of desirable messages. While one off-topic message doesn't matter all that much, it's just a sign that it's time for the usual change. That's fine. If your message sent to the list doesn't appear on the list right away, please do not worry - moderation delays are normal, until your address hopefully gets whitelisted through you posting desirable content.
