That would hide easily fixable problems. If we end up with suboptimal
settings, autoconf should be fixed.

Ideally/eventually there should only be autoconf_arch.h in Jumbo. All
the legacy build stuff are deprecated.

We currently do not even support using Makefile.legacy (it breaks all
the time and needs a lot of TLC) any more than that we may verify/fix it
right before a release. We appreciate fixes inbetween releases though.
