Of course, there's some loss in the voltage regulator, and some of the
extra current draw might be from other than the 1.0 V rail - so "1.44 A
extra at 1.0 V" is the maximum there can be.  But on the other hand,
there's some current draw from the 1.0 V rail when the system is idle as
well, so the total might reach or exceed this 1.44 A figure.
