No promises, but it could happen to be tomorrow and next Wednesday
(Nov 16), respectively - or something like that.

Yes, something like that.  I feel that you and magnum have already done
some testing of the post-j7 patches on the wiki, so it'd be a pity to
lose that testing by skipping -j8 (moving to 1.7.9 right away, which may
potentially introduce new problems relating to core code vs. jumbo).
So I'd like to push out a "stable jumbo", then 1.7.9, then jumbo updated
to 1.7.9 (which might not be as stable initially, until 1.7.9-j2 or so).
