Date: Mon, 06 Jun 2011 10:54:04 +0200 From: magnum <rawsmooth@...dband.net> To: john-dev@...ts.openwall.com Subject: UTF-8 truncation fix I just posted a patch to the wiki that makes UTF-8 to UCS-2 truncation more "proper" and removes a couple of "four-byte UTF-8" cases (UCS-2 can be at most three bytes of UTF-8) that was accidentaly left in NT and mscash. The Jumbo-5 as released do NOT have a problem because there are other tests that "save the situation", so this is more academic. But this should be included in next Jumbo. magnum
