bringing security into open environments

Openwall GNU/*/Linux (or Owl) is a security-enhanced operating system with Linux and GNU software as its core, compatible with other major distributions of GNU/*/Linux. It is intended as a server platform.

Owl is freely downloadable from our FTP mirrors, but you also have the option to purchase it on a CD, with delivery worldwide.
A special offer is available in Russia (the link is to a page in Russian).

Currently shipping is Owl 2.0 release (2006/02/15).
CDs are bootable on x86 and include a live system and x86 binary packages, as well as full source code which can be rebuilt with one simple command.

The links below allow you to pay with a credit card, PayPal, or to obtain information for sending a money order or a check. An e-mail with your invoice/receipt will be sent to you shortly after you place an order. Please don't hesitate to e-mail us at <orders at openwall.com> if you experience any problems placing an order or if you'd like to pay by a method not listed here.

By ordering at least the $40 option you support our future work on Owl. You may also donate an arbitrary amount.

The prices are in US dollars and exclusive of shipping unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs for the first item range from $0.58 in the US ($9.93 total) to $1.80 to Australia ($11.15 total), and for other items from $1.81 to $4.50 or more if you choose to use UPS for faster delivery and package tracking.

CDs are shipped via US Postal Service First Class Mail (US) and Air Mail (overseas) or via UPS (except for the first item), within two business days after receiving the order.

Unless you've chosen to use UPS with its guaranteed fast delivery times, please allow 3 weeks for delivery to US addresses and 4 weeks to non-US addresses, although actual times are usually much less. If you do not receive the CD in the time allotted, please send an e-mail to <orders at openwall.com> with the order Tracking ID.

It is our policy to replace defective products at no additional charge to you. If you don't receive the CD that was mailed to you, another CD may be sent to the same address at no additional cost, up to two months after the original shipping date.
