There're plans to include Maildir support in the official popa3d,
along with many other enhancements, but that is not going to happen
very soon.  I'm not doing further development on popa3d (but I
maintain it indeed) until I'm done with certain other tasks.

As I have mentioned previously, if you can get your company to pay for
this work, that is a reason for me to re-prioritize tasks as it in
fact helps complete other tasks quicker as well.  I'd be willing to
credit your company as a sponsor in the appropriate release announcement.
