These are the only PIEs on the *x86_64* dvd:
/sbin/quotacheck
/sbin/quotaon
/usr/bin/quota
/usr/sbin/convertquota
/usr/sbin/edquota
/usr/sbin/quot
/usr/sbin/quotastats
/usr/sbin/repquota
/usr/sbin/rpc.rquotad
/usr/sbin/setquota
/usr/sbin/warnquota
/usr/sbin/xqmstats

What are your reasons not to link executables as ET_DYN, even though
the target CPU architecture is PC-relative?
