Subject: musl & GSoC (Google Summer of Code) 2015

Among the approved mentoring organizations for this year's GSoC, at
least Openwall and lowRISC are interested in musl-related projects.
lowRISC specifically has a project for porting musl to RISC-V on their
ideas list and at least one student has expressed interest in it
already:

Openwall does not have any specific musl-related project ideas listed:

but proposals for hardening or security-related work on musl would be
good candidates. Solar and I also discussed the possibility of
bringing Owl-specific security enhancements to musl-based distros, but
we didn't come up with anything that seemed to match the scope for a
GSoC student project. Proposals would still be welcome though.

If anyone's aware of other mentoring organizations that would be
interested in having students work on musl-related projects, please
reply and let everyone know.

Rich
