Hi

 I have compiled JTR 1.7.9 jumbo 6 with GCC 4.8.

  iMac-de-xxxxxx:run xxxxxx$ mpirun -np 4 ./john -test -format=raw-md5
Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [128/128 SSE2 intrinsics 12x]... (4xMPI) DONE
Raw:	94867K c/s real, 94867K c/s virtual

 before (with GCC installed Xcode) I was

iMac-de-xxxxxx:run xxxxxx$ ./john -format=raw-md5 -test
Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [128/128 SSE2 intrinsics 12x]... DONE
Raw:	29459K c/s real, 29753K c/s virtual

 Now it's 3 time faster.

unfortunately, now with GCC 4.8 compilation , after a while, JTR crash 
during ./john -test

 I would ike remove 4.8 and install 4.5.4, help needed. thanks,
