Subject: AMD X6 multicore issue

Hi All.

I'm triing to run john on AMD X6 CPU.

1) john-1.7.8-jumbo-8/run$ mpiexec -np 4 ./john ./pass.txt
And it works well but uses only 1 core of 6.

2) But when I tried to run:
john-1.7.8-jumbo-8/run$ mpiexec -np 4 ./john --test
It used 4 cores (100% usage).

I've read the doc/README.mpi but no result.

Compilation type is *make linux-x86-64.*
*
*
*Kernel: *
c@cd:~/pass/john-1.7.8-jumbo-8/run$ uname -r
*2.6.38-8-generic*
*
*
*OS:*
c@cd:~/pass/john-1.7.8-jumbo-8/run$ cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 11.04 \n \l

Could you please point me how to config it to work with several cores?

Thanks
