In fact, Lion do not support MPI.
I have installed by myself mpi 1.4.3 from
http://www.open-mpi.org/software/ompi/v1.4/

 Now all OK.

Here it is my test for MD5 (JTR 1.7.8 jumbo2 X64, compiled with Lion).

Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [gen]... (4xMPI) Using raw-md5 mode, by linking
to md5_gen(0) functions DONE
Raw:	51828K c/s real, 51315K c/s virtual
