Thank you for your feedback/suggestions.  I've forwarded this to abc,
and we'll consider/discuss.  I think abc wanted to work on support for
multiple charsets first (recoding to utf-8 for display), though, which
makes sense to me.  And we might use Google's site search initially,
even though abc also did some preliminary work (proof of concept) on
integration of Xapian support into blists.
