Hi

 Is next version of JTR can include a salt finder ?

 Sometimes we have the hash and the plaintext but salt is missing.

 Is JTR could try all possiblities of salt (from "a" to "zzzzzzzzzz" 
(include letters + digits + symbols))

 A file with 3 characters is 1 mega (300 000 lines), easy to add all 
salt after hash, but generating salt with more characters is huge. Only 
brute force can help.
