Thank you very much for your effort and sharing it. I downloaded and  
compiled your patch on OS X (Darwin PPC 32bit 8.11.0) and Ubuntu  
(Linux x86 64bit 2.6.28) without trouble. It works smoothly. Just  
what I've been waiting for. :-)
