Subject: hmac-md5 file format ?

Hi,
I am a new user. i was able to use john successfully on raw-md5 cipher as
shown below in a text file. My text file looks like and used ./john
-format=raw-Md5 test.txt
   admin:b068931cc450442b63f5b3d276ea4297

However i was unable to figure out how to store the 32bit hex code for
HMAC-MD5 and run it. I tried looking at the patch which gave HMAC-MD5 code
and it used "#" to start identifying the cipher so i added plain text like
"admin#cipher" and it still does not recognize the format. I keep getting
the error "No password hashes loaded". can someone please help me how to
save my cipher in order to run a command like.
 ./john -format=hmac-md5 test.txt..

Ananth.
