Subject: some "errors" in john-1.7.3.1-all-5 (and maybe earlier)
Hello John-users,
today i've made a series of tests and found some strange things:
1. M$ Cache Hash (by Alain Espinosa)
in sources examples to test are
{"M$test1#64cd29e36a8431a2b111378564a10631", "test1" },
{"M$test2#ab60bdb4493822b175486810ac2abe63", "test2" },
{"M$test3#14dd041848e12fc48c0aa7a416a4a00c", "test3" },
{"M$test4#b945d24866af4b01a6d89b9d932a153c", "test4" },
but if you make a passfile and wordlist and launch john:
john test_mscache.pass -w=test_mscache.dic -format=mscash
Loaded 4 password hashes with 4 different salts (M$ Cache Hash [Generic 1x])
guesses: 0 time: 0:00:00:00 100% c/s: 5333 trying: test1 - test4
2. same thing with finding nothing with Oracle (by Simon Marechal)
3. netlm (by JoMo-Kun) and same for netntlm, netlmv2 and nethalflm
everything is ok if just running
john "some options" passfile
but when trying to use -format= option i got "No password hashes
loaded" message.
maybe the reason is myself, so i attached files i used for tests for
you to be able to try it your own :)
p.s. and it'll be nice to correct this typo about format=mscaSh or is
it meant to be so? :)
