Subject: iPod Nano Benchmarks
Yes, the iPod nano can run JtR. Probably the smallest platform with a
built in display that can run JtR. Here are the benchmarks for a 1st
generation iPod nano running linux. Not a bad performance to weight
ratio considering the the device only weighs about 40 grams. Now if I
can just create a nano cluster ;)
Benchmarking: Traditional DES [32/32 BS]... DONE
Many salts: 1679 c/s real, 1679 c/s virtual
Only one salt: 1632 c/s real, 1632 c/s virtual
Benchmarking: BSDI DES (x725) [32/32 BS]... DONE
Many salts: 42.9 c/s real, 42.9 c/s virtual
Only one salt: 42.6 c/s real, 42.6 c/s virtual
Benchmarking: FreeBSD MD5 [32/32]... DONE
Raw: 74.0 c/s real, 74.0 c/s virtual
Benchmarking: OpenBSD Blowfish (x32) [32/32]... DONE
Raw: 4.0 c/s real, 4.0 c/s virtual
Benchmarking: Kerberos AFS DES [24/32 4K]... DONE
Short: 656 c/s real, 656 c/s virtual
Long: 1371 c/s real, 1371 c/s virtual
Benchmarking: NT LM DES [32/32 BS]... DONE
Raw: 33376 c/s real, 33376 c/s virtual
