Subject: Yahoo tcpdump-ed password ?

Hello everybody ...
first of all .. I'm wondering if anyone knows what password type is this :

y&2-w%v&8*t&q&r%n%v*t-(c*8*p^4-c)%a%d%r/4/n*u-b^w&z*f%v%i&5-f&h
or
r-1*(8/c+(n|a^y/8|i+(r-1)|(u+5-v%(w-(l)&k%m+u/i-s-c-(u^f|o&f*a*o)/(z+v-5)))))

... both of them represent the same password ( on different yahoo ids ) ...
so .. question 2 .. can I crack/bruteforce it using JtR ? (question 1 : what
type is yahoo messenger logging password ? )
