Hello,

I have a password file with DES encrypted passwords which I want to
decrypt with john. The problem is that john shows the passwords up to 8
characters and if the password is longer than 8 characters the plain
output is cut. For example if the password is: blahfu1978 john shows
blahfu19. Why are the passwords cut? I think it is strange that john shows
the first 8 characters (which are part of the password) but not the rest.

Any suggestions?
