Subject: HOW TO ? is JOHN the right tool ?? just use my own wordlist and save
password combinations to a file...
hi there john users!
sorry for my bad english. ill try my best.
my problem is that i got a list of words n phrases and i was looking for
a programm or script that would combine the words (lines) within my
personal wordlist file into several possible combinations. there should
not be any crackin or unix/passwd stuff. all i need is a plain text file
containing combinations of words from my personal word file. lets say..
"possible passwords".
after searching a while through inet i found john and as long i
understand it, it seems to contain the functions that i am looking for.
however, after reading the FAQ, the Examples and the other readmes im
still not able to make john what i would like to.
so question now is: is there a way to make john create a text file just
containing all possible combinations of words (also whole lines
including spaces because they are phrases) of a specific lengh and all
lowercase n stuff?
im stuck..need a helping hand.. could someone pls lead me the way?
my wordfile example
============
have a nice day
school is out
for
summer
2006
1590
12345
54321
max length of a guessed combination (lets call it password) should be 20
it should combine my "words" like this:
have a nice day2006
or
school is outforsummer
summerschool is out2006for
etc
is john the right tool for that?
thanks for any advice!
greetings
Axel
