Ok it's running now but I only have two password to crack and it's running
for 9 hours now and still not finished:

I'm not sure if Simon's response was clear enough to you, so I'll
rephrase it: you need to take *.chr files out of John 1.6 distribution
(which you had downloaded previously).
The README for development versions of John says this:
"There are no charset files included with development versions of John.
You're supposed to take them from John 1.6 distribution."
You'll likely also want to use some larger wordlists:
