No, I am not planning to add support for any additional hash types into
John prior to the 1.7 release. Things like this may get in post-1.7,
and they will need to be implemented differently, with no dependencies
on external libraries.
Meanwhile, I am grateful to Simon for contributing the patches and I'll
let him continue to respond to your other questions on his patches.
