Subject: Daniel's weekly report #3

Hello!

Here are my accomplishments for the last week:
1. Read parts of the Southern Island ISA documentation and the whitepaper
2. Created a working assembler. The formats supported are: SOP2, SOP1,
SOPC, VOP2, VOP1, VOPC
3. Created a short script that patches the microcode in a dummy ELF
(initially filled with NOPs)
4. Started working on the wiki page:
http://openwall.info/wiki/john/development/GCN-ISA

Priorities for this week:
1. Support for more (possibly all) formats
2. There are some quirks in the generated ISA samples that I need to
understand
3. This means reading more docs too
4. Need to add a tutorial about the assembler usage to the wiki page
5. Need to update the (currently very primitive) shell script that
automates the process of assembling microcode, patching a dummy binary and
loading it in OpenCL
6. I should start working on the crypto/optimization side of things

Regards,
Daniel
