Subject: ARM NEON

Hi,

I've just posted this to john-users:

In JtR 1.8.0.1 (which is what you get after applying the -arm patch),
there are two make targets for Linux/ARM. These may be handy for the
Parallella projects.

The speedup with NEON at bitslice DES is disappointingly low (only about
35%), however NEON has vector table lookups (with the table in up to 4
vector registers), which look just right for (non-bitslice) DES S-boxes -
anyone wants to try implementing fast non-bitslice DES on NEON?

Alexander
