Subject: SHARCS 2012 paper

Hi all,

Here's a paper of SHARCS 2010 (Special-purpose Hardware for Attacking
Cryptographic Systems).

http://2012.sharcs.org/record.pdf

Among other presentations, starting at page 35, you'll find
Sprengers, Batina: Speeding up GPU-based password cracking

I just skimmed over it.
The reported speed for MD5 hash calculations is above 800.000/s on a GTX
295 (but probably just brute-forcing the key space, and password length
limited to 8 bytes).

Frank
