Subject: Re: GSoC Project proposal:JtR GPU for Slow hashes

Hi,

One for password generation, one for hash computation?

One for password generation and one for hash computation would require a
lot of synchronization especially for fast hashes. For fast hashes it could
be a significant advantage but for slow hashes where password generation is
much faster than hashing speed I think it would be better to perform those
task serially in order to avoid unnecessary complexity.

In my last post I was talking about computing only the hashes side by side
on CPU as well as GPU.

Sayantan
