I've just tried tuning the settings for Lukas' code.  With arch sm_20,
blocks 30, threads 768, I get:

Benchmarking: cryptmd5-cuda [MD5-based CRYPT]... DONE
Raw:    714240 c/s real, 707168 c/s virtual

There's still lots of room for improvement, which I hope Lukas or others
will take care of.
