OK, but I have no problem keeping them under unused/ for now.

Please do upload them (perhaps in per-non-hash-type tarballs?)

Oh, it could mention lots of things.  Not only this one.  But on the
other hand, maybe it should be as tiny as it is now, referring to
further documentation under doc/, which should include a
README-non-hashes, which you'd write.  What do you say?
